UNFI Helps Take “The Best Tea In The World™”
To Retailers From Coast to Coast
DALLAS, Texas—The Original Ceylon Tea Company announces significant forward progress in its national rollout of pure, high mountain-grown tea from Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
A national arrangement with distribution giant UNFI puts The Original Ceylon Tea Company products into 8 regional distribution centers, giving the product coast-to-coast availability to the natural foods markets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers.
“Having our products handled by UNFI is a major step forward in our development as a national brand,” says The Original Ceylon Tea Company president Kit Riley. “We’ve had tremendous sales success regionally, and now our products will be available to a wider audience than ever before.”
The Original Ceylon Tea Company sells pure, high mountain-grown tea from Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. The tea plantations are located in the highest peaks of the tiny island nation. The soils and climate at these altitudes produces a superior tea when compared to those commonly grown closer to sea level. And while many companies blend teas from Ceylon with inferior teas, The Original Ceylon Tea Company uses only 100% pure high mountain-grown tea from Ceylon and proudly carries the seal of the Ceylon Tea Board on all its products.
The product line contains a group of popular green teas that include traditional green bagged and loose, and bagged green tea flavored with natural lemon, raspberry, and jasmine flavoring. Traditional black teas include Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Needwood organic, and black teas with natural passion fruit, raspberry, and mango flavorings. There is also exotic 1001 Nights—a blend of black and green teas flavored with rose and citrus blossoms and bathed in natural strawberry essence.
